Wisconsin Republican U.S. senator Ron Johnson says Russian president Vladimir Putin is a war criminal. Johnson made the comment on AM 1170s Between the Lines program as Putin began his fifth term as Russian president this week. Johnson says while he hopes the Russia-Ukraine war ends this year, the outcome is inevitable. He says Russia is not going to lose the war. Meanwhile, Russian state media say Moscow has put Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on its wanted list, citing the interior ministry’s database. The commander of Ukraine’s ground forces, and Zelenskyy’s predecessor also featured on the ministry’s. It is not clear from the database what they have been charged with. In an online statement, Ukraine’s foreign ministry dismissed the reports of Zelenskyy’s inclusion as evidence of “the desperation of the Russian state machine and propaganda.”
