A Fond du Lac man has been charged in connection with an arson fire in Fond du Lac this month. Twenty nine year old Colin Habram made his initial Fond du Lac Court appearance Wednesday afternoon on multiple charges. Fire Chief Pete O’Leary says Habram is accused of setting fire to a residence at 410 Ellis Street during the early morning hours on Tuesday, April 14th: Haberam lived in the house. Investigators believe Habram was trying to collect insurance money to feed a heroin habit. Bail was set at $50,000 cash. A joint investigative taskforce made up of Investigators from the City of Fond du Lac Police Department, City of Fond du Lac Fire / Rescue and the Wisconsin Department of Justice- Division of Criminal Investigation-Fire Marshal’s Office worked together in the fire investigation that led to the arrest and charges Habram in the suspected arson fire at the 410 Ellis Street.
