9-9-14 cooler weather in store

After a gorgeous weekend things are going to look more like fall by the end of  the week.  National Weather Service meteorologist Marc Kavinsky says a cool front moving in will bring heavy rain and the possibility of strong storms later Tuesday night into Wednesday.  ” A strong low pressure system is going to form along this frontal boundary.  Its probably going to bring some pretty good rain, maybe some strong thunderstorms,”  Kavinsky told AM 1170 WFDL’s Between the Lines program.   Kavinsky says we could see an inch and a half or two inches of rain in the Fond du lac area Tuesday night and early Wednesday. Kavinsky says after the cool front moves in temperatures will be well below normal right through the weekend.   “It looks like high temperatures Wednesday through Monday will be mainly in the upper 50s to lower 60s,”  Kavinksy said.  The normal high this time of year is around 76 in Fond du lac with overnight lows in the mid 50s.  The overnight low Friday is expected to be around 40.  The first official day of fall is September 21st.  Daylight Savings Time starts September 28th.
