12-24-14 salvation army red kettle campaign-final push

The Fond du Lac Salvation Army is making a last minute plea for residents to donate to the Red Kettle fundraising campaign.  Salvation Army Social services Director, Ron Jacobson, says the bell ringers will be out through Christmas Eve.  “We’re at around $120,000 right now so we’ve still got a little bit to go,” Jacobson told WFDL news.  The goal is $145,000.  Jacobson says if you don’t get a chance to drop something in one of the red kettles around town you can mail in a check to the Salavation Army before the end of the year.  The fundraiser is used for operating costs at the Fond du lac Salvation Army, the food pantry, the brown bag lunch program,  and helping needy residents pay their utility bills and rent.
