1-22-15 sheboygan falls man, four year old son killed in fdl county traffic accident

A 37 year old Sheboygan Falls man and his four year old son were killed in a three vehicle accident in Fond du Lac County.  Sheriff’s sergeant Jeff Bonack tells WFDL news the accident involving a car, SUV and semi-truck happened Wednesday afternoon on Highway 23 east of Fond du lac near 7 Hills Road.  Bonack says the victim’s car for an unknown reason crossed the center line, clipped an SUV in front and veered into the path of the semi.  Bonack sys the four year old was pronounced dead at the scene.  The father was pronounced dead at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.  Bonack says investigators aren’t sure why the victim’s car crossed the center line.  He says a preliminary investigation does not indicate the driver was attempting to pass.  The driver of the semi, a Cascade man, was not injured.  The driver of the SUV, a 54 year old woman and a four year old passenger, both from Mt. Calvary,  also escaped injury.  Bonack says the accident is a painful reminder how deadly our roads are.  Highway 23 was closed for six hours while investigators reconstructed the accident scene.
