1-22-15 senate democrats

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Senate Democrats say Republicans aren’t focusing on what matters most to people in the state, and that Gov. Scott Walker is distracted by a potential presidential run. Democrats on Wednesday unveiled their priorities, which include raising the minimum wage, making college more affordable and accepting federal money to pay for Medicaid.  Many of the ideas Democrats are supporting have been repeatedly rejected by Republicans who control both the Senate and Assembly.   Democratic Minority Leader Jennifer Shilling says the Democratic proposals offer a clear path to improving the economy and making lives better for struggling families.  Walker is scheduled to lay out his plan for the next two years in his budget that’s released on Feb. 3.
