A retired Ripon College political science professor and Fond du lac County Board chairman says Fond du Lac County will benefit economically from the Democratic National Convention. Marty Farrell says area hotels and restaurants should benefit, being less than an hour away on I-41. “The city of Fond du Lac should fill up all off its hotel rooms,” Farrell told WFDL news. “This is coming a week before the EAA, by the way, hundreds of thousands of people coming in for that.” Farrell says another area where residents may try to capitalize on is the air bnb phenomenon.
