Advocate Aurora Health has announced plans to build a new hospital in Fond du Lac. Aurora has announced it plans to expand the existing health center in Fond du Lac to include a 91,000 square foot hospital. The expansion will include an emergency department and 10 inpatient beds with capacity for future growth. The new medical center in Fond du Lac will be part of Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, designed to increase access to integrated health care in Fond du Lac and the surrounding communities. Aurora says the expansion will create more than 100 new jobs. Construction on the $67 million expansion is expected to begin next spring and completed in 2022.
