The president of Envision Greater Fond du Lac says the Envision Board of Directors recognizes the growing need for a homeless shelter and services. Sadie Parafiniuk says that’s why the board has gone on record in support of a joint venture between St. Vincent de Paul and the Solutions Center for a Fond du Lac County Homeless Shelter. “This is an important project,” Parafiniuk told WFDL news. “The warming shelter serves a very important need, but the unfortunate reality is we need a permanent, year-round homeless shelter.” Parafiniuk says the Board recognizes the community cannot turn a blind eye to the problem of homelessness. The Shelter project is expected to be completed this fall.
