2-13-23 grothman announces committee assignments

Congressman Glenn Grothman (WI-06) announced that in the 118th Congress, he will continue to serve on the House Committee on the Budget, the Committee on Education and the Workforce, and the Committee on Oversight and Accountability, where he was named Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs. Additionally, Grothman was appointed to serve as a regional representative to the Republican Policy Committee and as a member of the House Majority Whip team.

“It is my privilege and honor to continue serving the people of Wisconsin’s Sixth District on three prominent committees in the House of Representatives,” said Grothman. “I have served on all these committees in the past and look forward to continuing to bring Wisconsin common-sense to the table.   “I’m ready to get to work in the 118th Congress to hold government agencies and officials accountable, promote all forms of higher education and technical training, and restore fiscal responsibility in Washington.  “As Chairman of the Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs, I am committed to preserving and promoting the interests of the American people on the world stage. This Subcommittee will make sure our veterans are treated fairly and with respect, our borders are not taken advantage of, and the United States’ relationship with other countries are upheld justly.”    “It is past time for Congress to hold the Biden Administration accountable for its radical open borders agenda which has ignited the worst border crisis in American history, the botched Afghanistan withdrawal that led to the tragic deaths of 13 U.S. service members, and more. These crises have gone unaddressed for far too long and threaten both our national security and America’s position on the world stage.”

“With Chairman Glenn Grothman’s expertise on the Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs, oversight is coming and we will investigate President Biden’s disastrous foreign policies that have created these ongoing national security and humanitarian crises,” said James Comer, Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability.
