5-1-24 rural road safety

The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation is reminding motorists to pay attention as they share the road with farmers during the spring planting season.  Farm Bureau spokeswoman Cassie Sonnentag says be careful and make smart decisions when attempting to pass  large, slow-moving farm machinery.  Sonnentag says watch out for farm equipment making unexpected turns into a field driveway.  Always leave extra space between your vehicle and large farm equipment.  And don’t assume that because you can see the farmer, that they can see you.   Blind spots are common on farm equipment.
