10-29-14 obama campaings for burke in milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (AP) — President Barack Obama says he had the opportunity to succeed because his country invested in his education and wellbeing. He’s urging voters to back Democrats who support such investments.  Obama is speaking Tuesday at a rally for Democrat Mary Burke. She’s trying to oust Republican Gov. Scott Walker in next week’s election.  Obama says Republicans love the U.S. but have bad ideas. He says they’re like a broken record offering worn-out, tired ideas for boosting the economy. Obama says the nation tried those things in the past and they failed.  Obama says Wisconsin voters have a chance to change that by choosing a governor on Nov. 4 who will put the middle class before politics. He’s suggesting that Walker is holding the state back economically.
