The Fond du Lac School District is in the process of updating its lease with Fond du lac Baseball Inc. for the Woodworth baseball-softball complex. Superintendent Dr. Jim Sebert says the district wants to modernize the lease when the 15 year agreement expires next year. “The land is owned by the school district. The improvements that have been put on the property have been by the gratiousness of Baseball Inc. and donors throughout the community,” Sebert said. “Basically what we’re doing is looking to modernize that lease. You can appreciate that from 1985 to 2015 things in language and so forth have to change.” The school board has held several closed door meetings in the past few months discussing the contract and met in closed session again Monday night. The Woodworth complex consists of three baseball diamonds and a softball diamond.
