The Fond du Lac County sheriff’s office will be out in force during the long Christmas-New Year’s holiday. Sheriff’s captain Rick Olig says traffic will be spread out over the next week…but heavier later Wednesday. “When you have a holiday like this in the middle of the week we tend to see less traffic issues because its spread out over a longer period of time,” Olig told WFDL news. “We’ll see some local traffic on Wednesday and obviously on Thursday. But some people are already gone.” Olig says from a law enforcement standpoint he’s most concerned about the aggressive driver. He says people need to slow down and make it to their destination safely.
