7-18-23 dillon’s law

Wisconsin Republican congressman Glenn Grothman has introduced a bipartisan bill designed to incentivize states to allow good samaritans to help save lives.  The legislation provides grants for states states to train individuals to carry and administer epinephrine, or EpiPens.  Grothman says the bill was inspired by Dillon Mueller, a native of Mishicot, who died in 2014 at the age of 18 after he was stung by a bee.  Dillon was unable to receive epinephrine in a timely manner and fell into a coma, before he died.  Grothman says neighboring states of Minnesota and Michigan have signed versions of the bill into law with overwhelming bipartisan support.
